How to Order Telephone Services
To order telephone services you can…

  • Submit your request through the on-line Telephone Service Request form or;

  • Send an email message to telcom-request@mtu.edu with the following information:

    • Your name
    • Your department, building, room number, and phone number
    • The account number you want charged
    • The complete description of services needed
    • Any other relevant information, i.e., names, room numbers, jack id (color and number), equipment types, etc. of others involved with the service requested

  • Call 487-2000 or stop by the MTU Telcom Customer Service in Room B24 in the EERC basement for assistance.


 
How to Order Pager Services

To order pager service

  • Send an on-line request from our web site: www.tc.mtu.edu or;

  • Call 487-2000 or stop by the MTU Telcom Customer Service in Room B24 in the EERC basement for assistance or;

  • Send an email message to telcom-request@mtu.edu with the following information:
    • Your name
    • Your campus address
    • Your campus phone number
    • Your home address
    • Your departmental account number (if applicable)
    • The type of paging service you are requesting
    • The complete description of services needed



How to Order the MTU Meet-Me Teleconference Services

If you want to use this service you must schedule the conference call 48 hours in advance of the call.

  • Call or stop by the MTU Telcom Customer Service in Room B24 in the EERC basement, to schedule or;
  • Send an on-line request from our web site: www.tc.mtu.edu or;

  • Send an email message to telcom-request@mtu.edu with the following information:

    • Your name
    • Your Tech ID number
    • The date you are requesting the service
    • The time the conference call is to start
    • Your department account number (if applicable)
    • Whether or not you will need an 800 number in addition to the local number
    • Any other relevant information that you wish to include



How to Order Network Services
To order network service, contact your department network systems administrator with your request. The systems administrator will send us the request. If you are not sure who your systems administrator is, contact your department head or director.

Important Notes
Re: Telephone Services

To ensure the reliability and maintainability of the campus phone system, all telephone equipment must be purchased or leased through the telecommunications department.

This includes, but is not limited to single line phone sets, key system (panther or panasonic) sets and cordless sets.

Re: Network Services
