The Michigan Tech Initial Sign-On (ISO)
password was established to increase the security of our
systems and allow individuals to be
authorized to
use
various campus information services without having to remember
several passwords.
As such, the ISO Password is used
to authenticate and authorize access to various services
and resources from on or off campus. Some of these services
inclued the MichNet (Merit) and GlobalNet modems, WebCT,
RoverNet, MTU Avenue, certain e-mail services, and more.
For more information on some of the many applications
and services that utilize the ISO password refer to the
MTU
ISO Passwords Applications page at http://www.login.mtu.edu/docs/public/isoapps.html.
