Cellular Services
In the course of carrying out job responsibilities, employees may need to perform business-related mobile communications. As such, Michigan Tech provides two options that can be used to meet their needs.
Two-Way Radio Service
Two-way radio service is available on the Michigan Tech campus. Although campus radio systems are generally owned and operated by user departments, the Telecommunications department can help arrange acquisition or licensing.
Rovernet (Mobile Computing Network)
Rovernet is a mobile computing service available to all current students, faculty and staff of Michigan Technological University at no charge. Providing and supporting Rovernet is a joint effort of many university departments.
Pagers/Paging Service
Effective July 1, 2012, Michigan Tech Telecommunications no longer resells pager service due to insufficient demand. If there are individual Michigan Tech employees that require pagers, this service is still available directly from Range Telecommunications.
