Overview/Description of Service

Cable television is available for all MTU students living on campus. The basic cable service includes over 50 channels plus the Husky Movie Vision (HMV) Channel offering up to twenty four movie titles per month.

HBO and Showtime are also available for an extra fee upon request. 


Cable Television Rates & Billing (for the Residence Halls)

  • Installation and basic service fees are included in the room and board rate.
  • $9.95 per month for each premium channel

Cable Television Rates & Billing (Daniell Heights)

  • Installation $25.00
  • Basic service $19.00 per month
  • $9.95 per month for each premium channel

Getting Connected

Cable boxes are available for non-cable ready television sets. If you are in need of a cable box, please contact the Telcom Customer Service Center, which is located in room B24 in the basement of the EERC building or call (906) 487-2000.
