Michigan Tech supports a variety of voice services for the campus community.
The Telecommunications Department offers a full range of basic and advanced voice communication services including telephones, voicemail, conference calling, and long distance services. Voice service offerings are a combination of services hosted on systems residing on campus as well as services that are contracted from external providers.
Telephone and Voice Services for Staff/Faculty/Others
Services delivered include analog lines, digital phone services, and associated equipment. The University telephone system also includes a voicemail service that users can choose to activate or remove at no charge.
Local area calls are offered at no charge, while domestic long distance calls placed from university telephones are rebilled to departments and individual telephone subscribers. See Rates for additional information on costs.
