Speech Recognition

The Speech Recognition feature is an optional feature that allows you to interact with the system using your voice. With Speech Recognition, you can call people by saying their name and interact with the voice mail system using spoken commands.

This feature is currently available on the 5140 IP Appliance.

Speed Call

The Speed Call feature allows you to make a call or to send a string of digits during a call (press a Speed Call Key during a call to send a multi-digit password, for instance).

This feature is currently available on 5005 IP Phone; 5020 IP Phone; 5215 IP Phone; 5220 IP Phone; 5140 IP Appliance.

Swap

The Swap allows you to place a call on hold, dial another number, talk to the second party and then alternate between the two parties by using the SWAP key. You can alternate between the two parties any number of times. Each call is kept private as neither person can overhear your conversation with the other.

No time during the use of this feature can the two parties converse with each other unless you hang up first. To keep the parties from conversing, ensure that one of them hangs up before you do.

This feature is currently available on the 5005 IP Phone; 5020 IP Phone; 5215 IP Phone; 5220 IP Phone; 5140 IP Appliance.

Three-Party Conference

The Three-Party Conference feature allows you to setup a conference call between three parties. The conference can consist of:

  • three extension users;
  • two extension users and an external caller;
  • one extension user and two external callers.

This feature is currently available on the 5001 IP Phone; 5005 IP Phone; 5020 IP Phone; 5215 IP Phone; 5220 IP Phone; 5140 IP Appliance.

Trunk Flash

The Trunk Flash feature allows you to access Centrex features (if available) while you are talking on an outside call.

This feature is currently available on the 5020 IP Phone; 5215 IP Phone; 5220 IP Phone; 5140 IP Appliance.

Visual Voice Mail

The Visual Voice Mail feature is an application that allows you to visually interact with the voicemail system.

The voicemail main screen contains a chronological list of the voice messages in your mailbox, with the most recent message listed first. The visual voicemail function allows you to scroll through messages, sort messages, play messages, make messages, reply to messages, etc.

This feature is currently available on the 5140 IP Appliance.
